As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.49 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards. Monitor access points and assist with visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Have at least one year of security-related experience. Must be willing to receive required hospital vaccinations. Must be willing to work in or around a hospital morgue. Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary. Have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
