Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care

Open Play Physical Therapy is seeking a motivated and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. In this full-time role, you will have the unique opportunity to work in a home care setting, providing essential physical therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Work Environment

This position is onsite, primarily involving home visits to our patients across the Daytona Beach area. You will be part of a cohesive team that prioritizes high-quality care, consisting of fellow physical therapists and support staff. Our commitment to flexible scheduling allows us to cater to the needs of our diverse patient population while maintaining a healthy work-life balance for our employees. Typical hours range from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with the potential for some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their goals and rehabilitation needs, recording vital evidence for tailored treatment plans.
• Manage a manageable caseload to ensure one-on-one time with each patient, typically treating one individual per hour.
• Design and implement effective, evidence-based intervention strategies to optimize patients' rehabilitation outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise, to improve patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure continual advancement toward rehabilitation goals.
• Deliver comprehensive education to patients regarding their conditions and the importance of adherence to prescribed exercise and wellness programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care services and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Encourage a healthy lifestyle by incorporating strategies to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary clientele will include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. The focus of your practice will be on developing individualized treatment protocols designed to enhance functional mobility and decrease pain, allowing patients to resume their daily activities. Additionally, you will work with patients to decrease reliance on medications and explore non-invasive alternatives to surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and demonstrated competence in developing and implementing exercise programs.
• Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, with familiarity in WebPT being a plus.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in orthopedic outpatient settings. Additional certifications in specialized areas such as sports therapy or geriatrics are preferred, as they would enhance the breadth of treatment options available to our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
