Work Environment

Our outpatient office is a collaborative and nurturing environment, where you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients to identify and prioritize their rehabilitation goals, ensuring alignment with their expectations and needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based methodologies, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities aimed at pain relief.
• Evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as necessary and ensuring comprehensive communication of outcomes to patients and other healthcare providers.
• Instruct patients on home exercise programs to enhance their recovery process outside of therapy sessions, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
• Develop and participate in wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices, targeting areas like strength, flexibility, and balance.
• Provide motivation and support throughout the treatment process to foster confidence and improve patient adherence to therapy initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff or interns and participate in continuous education within the clinic, ensuring a culture of growth and knowledge sharing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, athletic traumas, and chronic conditions affecting their daily lives. Our diverse patient demographic includes active individuals looking to return to sports, older adults recovering from joint replacements, and patients with varying degrees of mobility challenges. By adapting your approach to each patient's circumstances, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; a Master's Degree or Doctorate is preferred.
• Possession of an active state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in orthopedic rehabilitation practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate treatment plans and motivate patients effectively.
• Ability to empathize with patients and adapt approaches to manage varying personalities and emotional states.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits
