Distribution Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Distribution Quality Technician role at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Suwanee distribution center, responsible for conducting inbound supplier audits and ensuring compliance with operational and EDI standards. First shift position (6 am–2 pm) involving warehouse inspection, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Document inbound supplier audits for packing slip, labeling, carton integrity, and shipping quality
- Inspect and document damaged freight; communicate non-compliance to supplier relations and DC teams
- Monitor supplier compliance metrics including ASN accuracy, EDI penetration, and receiving productivity
- Support department standup meetings and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain strong safety awareness and adhere to distribution center guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma minimum
- 2+ years distribution, operations, manufacturing, or administration experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Cross-functional relationship building capability
- Self-motivated and independent work ethic
