Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required; float to other ICUs and intermediate units as needed

Highlights:

• 26-bed Neuroscience and Surgical ICU within a comprehensive stroke center
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1 or 1:1 based on acuity
• EPIC charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided
• Contract length of 13 weeks or longer available through February 27
• Exposure to advanced neurological critical care including stroke management, ICP monitoring, EVD management, and ventilator management
• Collaborative interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Active RN license (NC or Compact license accepted)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Demonstrated experience with ICP monitoring, ventilator management, and telemetry
• Proficiency in arterial line management, central line care, blood product administration, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, and managing critically ill neurological patients
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float to other ICU and intermediate care units
