Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care PRN

Starr Regional Medical Center – Outpatient Wound Care Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), Wound Care – Job Type: Per Diem | PRN, Days (Monday‑Friday) As an RN on our wound care team, you will provide expert wound care, collaborate with physicians, and ensure the highest standards of care for patients with acute or chronic wounds. Responsibilities Perform patient care within scope of practice, keeping accurate records of assessment, treatments, and documentation. Assist in coordination of wound care patients. Support day‑to‑day operation of the wound care program. Follow care plan in collaboration with the patient care team. Utilize patient teaching to provide information to patient and family. Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, physician, and caregivers to deliver effective care. Evaluate patients’ learning needs and provide feedback to the clinical coordinator. Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders and policies. Document care in the EHR promptly. Maintain required competencies, continuing education, and certifications. Participate in quality‑assurance programs as requested by the Clinical Manager or Director. Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to change. Apply critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and self‑direction to work independently. Perform in stressful environments and respond appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Mandatory licensing: Current RN license to practice in Tennessee. Mandatory certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) at the time of hire. Must possess critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, self‑direction, and stress‑management ability.
