Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ growth and success as a Special Education Teacher working with 3rd and 4th grade learners. This full-time, contract opportunity focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to a dedicated group of 15-20 students, helping them achieve academic and developmental milestones. You will collaborate with fellow educators and families in a setting that values individualized learning and inclusive practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification or eligibility as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs for elementary-aged students
- Strong background in differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with instructing students in 3rd and 4th grades
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver instruction tailored to individual IEP goals for 3rd and 4th grade students
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Foster positive and supportive relationships with students, encouraging independence and self-advocacy
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure seamless integration of support
- Maintain accurate records, including progress reports and compliance documentation
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of high-quality educational plans
