Make a difference in the lives of young learners as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment near Saint Albans, VT. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with a caseload of 15-20 students in 3rd and 4th grade, helping them achieve their individual goals and reach their full potential.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in 3rd and 4th grades
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate, patient, and creative in adapting lessons to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with varied learning abilities
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support to students in both individual and small group settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and families to promote student growth
• Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and independence
• Participate in team meetings, staff development, and ongoing professional learning
