Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays; 36-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• Progressive Care Unit with 1:3 patient ratios working with adult and geriatric populations
• Comprehensive case mix including renal, hepatology, cardiology, pulmonology, and adult cystic fibrosis patients
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility
• Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, respiratory services, and physical therapy
• Experience with cardiac drips, heparin and insulin protocols, high flow oxygen therapy, and telemetry monitoring
• Float requirements within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management, insulin drip titration, and high flow nasal cannula
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
