Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekdays and some weekends with rotating holidays. Patient ratio approximately 1:3. Float requirements to units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. 36 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• Progressive care environment with diverse patient population including renal, hepatology, cardiology, pulmonology, and adult cystic fibrosis specialties
• Advanced clinical experience with cardiac drips, heparin protocols, insulin drips, high flow oxygen therapy, and pressor management
• Epic EMR system utilized for all documentation and charting
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more
• Specialized equipment including lift equipment, IV ultrasound machines, and bladder scanners
• Up to two pre-approved time-off periods available during assignment

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
• Skills required: central and peripheral line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols and titration, cardiac drip management, and high flow nasal cannula
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
