Position Details:

• Location: Chattanooga
• Hours:
• 1st Shift -  One Open Vacancy
  • Monday - Thursday (6:00am-14:45pm) +
  • Friday (6:45am-15:30pm)
• 2nd Shift -  One Open Vacancy
  • Monday - Thursday (14:00pm- 22:45pm) +
  • Friday (15:15 pm-00:00am)
• Start Date: As soon as possible

Skills Required:

• Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason
• Data entry and computer skills required (MS Office required, SAP desired)
• Ability to follow standardized work processes
• Passion for details
• Cooperative teamwork
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Fluency in English
• Ability to operate equipment and tools (e.g., laptop, cell phone, scanners)
• Ability to work in a plant and office environment
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, vibration, wet and humid weather conditions
• Exposure to occasionally loud noise levels
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and use appropriate support equipment for greater amounts
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn on the shop floor to prevent injury

Role Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation supporting individual counts
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
• Assist in MRO part activities as directed by VW management
• Execute the values, philosophy, mission, strategy, policies, and standards of the organization
• Achieve operational excellence for strategic indicators
• Communicate with VW Management
• Foster a safe work environment
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by VW Supervisor/Team Lead
• Issue requested materials to customers and prioritize line down conditions
• Document stockouts
• Enter issued materials into SAP
• Put away and label parts with VW unique numbers
• Expedite material-related issues
• Transfer materials physically and systematically in SAP
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and prolonged standing and walking
