District Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable and receivable, general ledger tasks, and bank reconciliations. Applicants should be excellent at recording data error-free and have a strong attention to detail.

This is a full-time position, working at PFM's Orlando East location on Quadrangle Boulevard near UCF.

Responsible for maintaining the financial records of a company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the company.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Accounts payable – including writing checks (physical and electronic) and positive pay
• Bank reconciliations
• Filing
• Creating and updating spreadsheets
• Any other items needed to assist district accountant with monthly tasks

Education and Experience

• Knowledge and experience with the accounts payable cycle
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations
• Knowledge and experience of accounting computer applications

• Ability to follow and keep track of differing instructions from multiple team members
• Strong organization skills
• Planning skills
• Strong communication skills
• Critical thinking skills and be able to extrapolate data from instructions provided
• Ability to navigate within Microsoft Word and Excel with at least an intermediate ability

COMPENSATION

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $19.95–$21.63 per hour; this non-exempt position is eligible for overtime and annual performance-based bonuses. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
