Training will happen at our Irving Summit Location for at least 2 weeks. Forklift experience highly preferredRole SummarySummit's warehouse associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers' needs for materials and services by receiving in new material from our vendors, picking customer's orders for will call or delivery, and participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices. This role is Summit's entry level branch position and an excellent role to be introduced to the business and learn skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities at Summit.Principle AccountabilitiesForklift experience (sit down forklifts & reach trucks)Attention to detailPull customer tickets to fulfill orders.Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit's commitment to a safe workplace.All associates will be cross trained to handle both inbound and outbound responsibilitiesQualificationsEssential Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentTime management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and writtenFlexibility – ability to effectively adapt to changeStrong customer service orientationBeneficial Skills and ExperiencePrevious warehouse experienceAbility to perform duties with minimal supervisionAptitude for learningPhysical ChallengesAbility to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basisAbility to operate standard warehouse equipmentPre-employment assessments, drug, and background screens are administered.Professional appearance required.Additional InformationWe are an equal opportunity employer.
