Accounting Analyst

Are you a skilled accounting or payroll systems analyst looking for a high-impact, fully remote contract opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Analyst to support a large-scale enterprise payroll and workforce management system transformation! In this key project-based role, you will be instrumental in executing system implementations, designing comprehensive test scenarios, and ensuring seamless data flows across major platforms.

Work comfortably from your home office in the Sacramento area while collaborating closely with cross-functional HRIS, payroll, and IT teams. You will play a vital role in validating system functionality, staging test data, analyzing complex variances, and driving issues through to final resolution. If you bring strong experience in Workday, UKG Pro Workforce Management, and end-to-end testing methodologies, this 26-week assignment offers an outstanding platform to apply your technical systems expertise.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Support a large-scale system implementation involving Workday and UKG Pro WFM. Develop test scenarios, stage data, execute testing phases, validate payroll accuracy, and collaborate with IT/HRIS teams to ensure overall deployment readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, stage, and execute comprehensive test scenarios for payroll unit, system, integration, and parallel testing.

• Review test results, identify variances, and research root causes to resolve discrepancies.

• Document test cases, outcomes, and resolutions in tracking tools to ensure full system compliance.

• Validate system integrations and data flows between Workday and UKG Pro WFM platforms.

• Partner with cross-functional HRIS, payroll, and IT stakeholders throughout all implementation phases.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or payroll systems analysis.

• Proven experience with Workday and UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM).

• Demonstrated expertise in unit, integration, regression, system, and parallel testing.

• Proficiency in documenting test cases, analyzing variances, and tracking system defects.
