Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Float Pool experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have unit/specialty experience in the past 6 months. - Must be able to titrate cardiac drips. - Must be able to interpret EKGs.

Required Credentials: - You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding. - Must pass a Sim Lab on day one of orientation.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: - Ratios vary by unit: 1:3-4 on CV Tele and Neuro Tele; 1:4 days and nights on Med-Surg units. - Patient populations include post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG, general telemetry, neuro post-surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA, ortho, surgical, oncology, urological, abdominal, Whipple, and women’s surgeries (no OB-Gyn), plus general Med-Surg patients requiring telemetry. - Adult/adolescent population ages 15 and older; no pediatrics. - Centralized telemetry/GE monitors and Spectralink phones are used on some units. - Cardiac drips include Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, and Cardizem to titrate down only. - No ICP monitoring. - Support staff includes PCT coverage; Tele units typically staff 1 PCT per 16 patients.

Shift & Scheduling: - 4 weekend shifts per schedule (Sat/Sun). - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Floating Requirements: - First to float. - Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units. Depending on skill level, may also float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, and any holding area, including Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, and hallway holds. - Observation floor is staffed first, then other units. - Floating includes Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert campuses; campus and unit notification is given 1.5 hours prior to shift start. - Mid-shift floating can happen. Floating to another campus within a single shift is rare but possible. - Campuses are 9 miles apart; travel time is about 15 minutes depending on traffic. Must clock out when leaving one campus and clock in when arriving at the other.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
