Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Trauma – Georgia

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Schedule: High-acuity surgical trauma floor with assigned shift requirements; block scheduling not available

Highlights:

• Fast-paced surgical trauma environment with diverse, complex patient population including surgical cases, trauma patients, and spinal cord injuries
• 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive support staff including nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries on night shift
• EPIC electronic medical record system in use facility-wide
• Structured handoff process with ED and admitting unit nursing staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
• Collaborative, team-oriented unit culture focused on critical care excellence

Requirements:

• Active Georgia RN license or compact state license with ability to practice in Georgia
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in surgical trauma or similar high-acuity specialty
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system required
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts as scheduled
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills for managing complex trauma patients
