IT Director

Job ID: 1066. Job Title: Director, Facilities IT Program. The SHC Information Technology Services (ITS) group has established the New Stanford Hospital (NSH) team whose mission is to sense, evaluate, prepare, and support the information technology required to activate new hospitals, repurpose existing hospitals, and support facilities expansion into new locations. Embedded in the NSH team is the Facilities IT Program which is responsible for managing projects related to the deployment and readiness of technology at all existing and new SHC locations. The Director will plan and coordinate facilities readiness with regard to IT infrastructure, telecommunications, end user computing, and applications, providing oversight for all Facilities projects (moves, expansions and new facilities). This is accomplished through collaboration with the various ITS teams responsible for these core functions. Responsibilities Serves as primary liaison between facilities teams and various ITS teams Manages intake, planning, and governance process for facilities-related ITS requests and assigns PM resources (PMT process) Prepares and manages budgets for facilities-related ITS projects and fiscal year budgeting for all upcoming facilities projects Ensures planning/budgeting is completed effectively and in line with supported and upcoming new technologies from the Applications towers and CTO organization Manages projects and resources associated with facilities-related ITS projects Provides feedback to Space Planning and Transition Services in regard to upcoming facilities projects, proposals and requests Responds to requests for IT costing/pricing for new facilities during the business case/development stage Coordinates with various cross-functional ITS resources and management personnel to ensure that applications, infrastructure, and other teams are working collaboratively to meet project timelines and service delivery expectations Ensures that currently facilities-related ITS projects are aligned, as appropriate, with NSH planning and governance processes; develops and oversees IT process and governance for incoming and inflight facilities projects Manages challenges and escalates issues appropriately to ensure management communication and oversight at the right levels Minimum Qualifications Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in the subject area Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification.
