Senior Tax Manager

Mason & Blair, LLC. A premier Accounting and Finance search firm in the Bay Area, has teamed with a great 200 mil SaaS client of ours on a search for a hands on Senior Tax Manager . This role hybrid 1 day per week onsite. This role will have broad responsibility across global tax compliance, tax accounting, international and indirect tax, transfer pricing, tax risk management, and operational tax matters. Own and oversee global tax compliance — across U.S. federal and state income taxes and applicable international jurisdictions, as well as indirect and other business taxes, including sales and use tax, VAT/GST, gross receipts, and property taxes. Lead the annual income tax provision process under ASC 740 — including review of work performed by external advisors and analysis of significant tax positions Manage global direct and indirect tax obligations — including nexus and permanent establishment considerations, registration requirements, taxability assessments, filing obligations, and ongoing compliance across jurisdictions. Act as a trusted tax partner to the business — working cross-functionally with Accounting, Legal, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Finance and other teams to evaluate the tax implications of contracts, new initiatives, operational changes, and business decisions. Oversee transfer pricing activities — including quarterly calculations, intercompany arrangements, supporting documentation, and coordination with external advisors to maintain defensible transfer pricing policies. Maintain and strengthen the tax control environment — including development and documentation of internal controls, review procedures, reconciliations, and processes supporting financial reporting and tax compliance. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and service providers — establish clear expectations, review deliverables, manage timelines, and ensure effective use of external resources. Background 7+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including meaningful experience supporting a multinational organization with U.S. and international operations; a combination of public accounting and in-house corporate tax experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or Master’s in Taxation is a plus. Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax, ASC 740, international tax, and VAT/GST, sales and use tax, nexus, transfer pricing, and cross-border operations. #J-18808-Ljbffr Mason & Blair, LLC
