Certified Operating Room Technologist

Location: New York

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour day shift from 0700 to 1930, rotating days off with the team.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Certified Operating Room Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the operating room is properly prepared, organized, and maintained in a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgeries.
• Assist in circulating duties and provide additional sterile support as necessary.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage instruments and equipment efficiently during surgery.
• Adhere to strict sterilization protocols and infection control measures.
• Assist with patient transportation if central transport is unavailable.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in surgical services.
• Valid NY licensure and BLS certification required.
• Certification through NBSTSA highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge in various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, ENT, and general surgery.
• Vascular skills are a must.
• Prior travel experience is preferred.
