Sr. EHS Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to help drive a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.In this role, you'll partner with employees, managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to identify risks, strengthen safety programs, investigate incidents, and lead initiatives that protect our people, facilities, and operations.If you're passionate about workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoLead Safety & Compliance InitiativesDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulatory requirements.Monitor changes in regulations and industry best practices to maintain ongoing compliance.Drive Risk ReductionLead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations.Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.Perform facility risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve workplace safety.Own Environmental ProgramsManage hazardous waste and environmental compliance activities.Review new chemicals, materials, and process changes through environmental impact review procedures.Maintain required permits, reports, records, and regulatory documentation.Lead Emergency PreparednessCoordinate the Emergency Response Team (ERT).Facilitate Safety Committee activities.Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts.Conduct emergency response drills and training exercises.Deliver Training & Employee EngagementDevelop and facilitate EHS training programs.Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and education.Serve as a trusted resource to employees and leadership on EHS matters.Support Facilities OperationsManage PPE procurement and inventory.Support contractor management and facility-related services.Assist with preventative maintenance programs and facility compliance activities.What We're Looking ForRequired Experience5+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.Experience interacting directly with regulatory agencies and compliance auditors.Strong knowledge of OSHA / Cal-OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.Experience developing and implementing EHS programs and training initiatives.Strong communication, presentation, project management, and organizational skills.Required Certifications & TrainingThe following are considered essential qualifications for this role:HAZWOPER (40-Hour) Certification or recent HAZWOPER trainingCalifornia Title 22 Hazardous Waste Generator TrainingDOT Hazardous Materials Shipping Training (49 CFR)Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training and Program Administration ExperienceAdditional RequirementsTechnical certificate, vocational training, or equivalent experience in EHS, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Ability to occasionally respond to after-hours emergencies or critical facility issues.U.S. Person status required for access to ITAR-controlled information.Preferred QualificationsWe're especially interested in candidates who bring:Manufacturing experience in a publicly traded company.Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.Experience leading Emergency Response Teams (ERT).Knowledge of facility maintenance and building systems.Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHMM, or CIH.What Makes You SuccessfulTakes ownership and works independently.Is comfortable influencing employees and leaders at all levels.Enjoys solving problems and driving continuous improvement.Thinks proactively about risk prevention rather than reacting to issues.Communicates effectively and builds strong relationships across the organization.Leads by example and promotes a culture of safety and accountability.What We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefits packageMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysCareer growth and professional development opportunitiesThe ability to make a meaningful impact on employee safety and environmental stewardshipSalary Range:$62,800.00-$83,700.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
