Position Overview

Modern Ford of Boone is seeking an experienced Finance Manager / General Sales Manager to join our leadership team. This is a hybrid position designed for a proven automotive professional who understands both F&I and the overall sales process .

The ideal candidate will help manage and maximize F&I performance while also leading, coaching, and developing the sales department. This position will play a key role in deal structuring, customer satisfaction, profitability, sales performance, and team development.
Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

• Lead, motivate, and coach the sales team
• Drive monthly sales volume and gross profit goals
• Assist with deal structure, negotiations, and customer escalations
• Monitor sales performance, appointments, closing ratios, and gross
• Train and develop sales consultants and managers
• Help establish accountability and performance standards
• Assist with recruiting and developing sales talent

Finance & F&I

• Oversee the F&I process from deal structure through funding
• Maximize F&I gross profit and product penetration
• Work with lenders to secure approvals and maximize funding opportunities
• Ensure deals are properly structured, documented, and compliant
• Monitor funding, chargebacks, and deal paperwork
• Maintain a strong customer experience throughout the F&I process
• Assist with F&I training and development

Leadership & Operations

• Work closely with the General Manager and dealership leadership
• Review sales and financial reports to identify opportunities
• Help develop and implement sales strategies and processes
• Maintain compliance with Ford and all applicable regulations
• Promote a professional, accountable, and team-oriented culture
• Support overall dealership operations and leadership initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive dealership management, F&I, or sales leadership experience
• Proven track record of success in automotive sales and/or F&I
• Strong understanding of dealership operations and profitability
• Strong knowledge of automotive finance products, lenders, and compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
• CDK or other dealership DMS experience preferred
• Ford experience is a plus but not required
