Registered Nurse - Spaulding Brighton

Job Summary 32 Hour Evening Shift opening at Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton, Inc. The position is for a registered nurse and offers a 12‑month Nurse Residency Program for new graduates to develop clinical skills and transition into practice. Key Responsibilities Nursing assessment is completed accurately and timely in accordance with practice standards. Plan of care is developed and implemented that reflects the needs and goals of the patient. Provide nursing care, evaluate and modify it to achieve goals and objectives. Complete patient care documentation per established standards. Administer medications safely and in accordance with professional standards, nursing policies and procedures. Transcribe or acknowledge doctor’s orders as needed and carry them out as directed. Coordinate care activities in collaboration with other team members to facilitate patient goals. Assess patient education needs and provide education about disease process, medication, and discharge preparation to help patients and families develop self‑care skills. Mentor and teach healthcare team members as needed. Participate actively in team conferences and meetings to achieve stated goals. Complete additional departmental, organizational, or network activities per established objectives. Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Preferred Licensure Current license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration as a Registered Nurse. Required Skills Effective verbal, electronic, and written communication skills in English. Computer proficiency, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software. Maintain a variable work schedule, including evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and travel. High level of service delivery and initiative with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with a diverse population. Ability to work independently, be self‑directed, and contribute as part of a team.
