We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a team Greenville, South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a long-term role is ideal for someone who can step into a fast-paced environment, organize high-volume administrative accounting work, and help bring structure to processes. The role focuses heavily on invoice handling, document review, and accurate data entry while partnering with internal teams and external contacts. Success in this position requires sound judgment, comfort working across multiple systems, and the ability to learn new processes quickly with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a high volume of invoice processing activities, ensuring billing information is entered accurately and completed on time.

• Verify billing information, pricing, contract terms, and supporting documentation prior to invoice submission.

• Support cleanup and backlog reduction efforts by organizing outstanding items and helping restore workflow efficiency.

• Navigate multiple platforms, including Excel and internal processing tools, to complete administrative and accounting tasks efficiently.

• Assist with project-based assignments aimed at improving data accuracy, record organization, and overall process consistency.

• Prior experience in invoice processing, billing support, accounting administration, or a similar detail-focused office role.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to navigate spreadsheets confidently and enter data accurately.

• Experience reviewing documents and extracting relevant information for data entry, billing, or administrative processing.

• Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve routine issues without requiring close day-to-day direction.

• Comfortable learning and using multiple systems at the same time in a fast-moving work environment.

• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling numeric data and supporting documentation.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external project contacts.
