Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:15 p.m.

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for fabricating and assembling products from raw materials using drawings, fixtures, welding equipment, and a variety of fabrication machinery.

The ideal candidate is comfortable reading blueprints, producing quality weldments, operating fabrication equipment, and working independently as well as part of a team.

Essential Responsibilities

·         Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and dimensions to accurately fabricate and assemble products.

·         Weld and fabricate components according to drawings and quality requirements.

·         Create and use fixtures to assist with the accurate assembly of weldments.

·         Inspect completed work to ensure finished products meet dimensional and quality standards.

·         Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, plasma tables, waterjets, and ironworkers.

·         Occasionally operate drill presses and Bridgeport mills to achieve proper part fitment.

·         Troubleshoot fabrication and fitment issues as needed.

·         Assemble and package finished products for shipment.

·         Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

·         Work with other team members to meet production schedules and customer delivery requirements.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED preferred.

·         At least 1 year of welding experience.

·         At least 1 year of metal fabrication experience.

·         Ability to read and work from blueprints and fabrication drawings.

·         Experience using common fabrication tools and equipment.

·         AWS certification is preferred but not required.

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

·         Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position that requires standing and walking for extended periods as well as bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reaching. The position also requires the ability to safely lift and move materials and fabricated components as required.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing and fabrication environment. Employees may be exposed to welding fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and elevated noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment and established safety procedures are required. Lifting of 75+lbs at times.
