We are looking for a new HR Director who will serve the people who help our animals. Our current Director is retiring. The outstanding candidate will have at least 5 years of manager or director level experience in HR, with knowledge/experience in:Advising managers about employee issues or other employee relations activitiesEmployment lawBenefits administration for medical, disability, life and FSA plansADP payroll/benefits/time off modulesDisciplinary actionFMLA AdministrationWorkers' compensation including incident reportingRecruiting and interviewing for veterinarians and management positionsCreating or changing policies for the employee handbookCompensation managementResponding to unemployment or discrimination claimsResponding to any OSHA complaints or activityPlanning and implementing employee appreciation eventsExperience in supervisory training is a plusIn addition to 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, we need someone who is excellent at building relationships, is very organized and is a great communicator.
