McLean, VA Pay From: $23 Per Hour
MUST:
- 5 years of experience as a pharmacy technician
- Experience working in an outpatient retail pharmacy a must
- Experience assisting patients on phone and in person
- Experience processing refills
- Experience following up on and processing claims
- Strong computer skills and ability to verify insurance
- Experience following up on rejected prescriptions
- Strong customer service skills
- Comfortable working in a very fast paced environment
- Active Pharm Tech license in the state of VA
- If not certified in the state of Virginia must be nationally certified and willing to become state certified
DUTIES:
The Pharmacy Technicians duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Greet patients in person and over the phone in a very high volume setting
- Process prescriptions
- Verify insurance
- Follow up with insurance companies on rejected prescriptions
- Document patient information in computer system
- Provide customer service support
