Registered Nurse CVICU

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) NurseProvide specialized critical care nursing within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) for adult patients recovering from cardiac surgeries or procedures. Ensure optimal patient outcomes through advanced assessment, intervention, and coordination of care.Responsibilities:Assess patient conditions continuously, including hemodynamics, ventilator needs, and sedation levels.Administer and titrate vesicant medications, pressors, sedatives, and paralytics with precision.Perform advanced procedures such as central line insertions, cardioversion, transvenous pacing, chest tube management, and TEE.Interpret telemetry data and invasive hemodynamic measurements, including PA catheter setup and analysis.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans addressing complex cardiac conditions.Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner and adhere to unit policies and procedures.Qualifications:Valid RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in CVICU.Proficient in titration of vesicant meds, vasoactive drugs, sedation, and paralytics.Skilled in ventilator management, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.Familiar with advanced cardiac procedures such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT.Demonstrate knowledge of chest tube management, transvenous pacing, and cardioversion.CCRN certification preferred.Benefits & Growth:Access to state-of-the-art equipment and ongoing training programs.Opportunities for professional development, including certifications in advanced cardiovascular care.Supportive team environment with a focus on clinical excellence and innovation.Benefits:Day 1 Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceTravel reimbursement for assignmentsPaid sick leave and additional valuable benefitsAccess to our $1,000 Inspire a Friend Referral ProgramWhy TactStaff?Choosing TactStaff means partnering with a team that understands the unique demands and rewards of CVICU.
