Job Type Full-time The Job Food and Beverage Manager assists with management of the Food and Beverage teams in assigned restaurants to ensure guests receive the highest level of service and quality on a daily and consistent basis. Manages subordinate supervisors/lead personnel who supervise team members in the assigned restaurants and/or In Room Dining. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: Interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Planning department goals and directing team members to achieve results. Monitoring day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure standards of product presentation and service exceed guest expectations and meet or exceed property standards. Taking corrective action as needed and taking action to achieve budgeted revenues, controlling expenses and maximizing profitability within assigned areas. Utilizing corporate approved computer programs to analyze forecasts, cost and revenue reports and making recommendations, decisions, and taking action based on that information to maximize profitability. Ensuring quality and portion control while minimizing waste or loss of supplies to maintain profitability. Ensuring guests receive outstanding, consistent, exceptional service by circulating through each dining area, seeking opportunities to improve satisfaction, and immediately handling any guest concerns or complaints. Ensuring all dining, service and kitchen areas are clean and properly set up; maintaining sufficient inventory of food, supplies and equipment and ordering as needed; participating in weekly/monthly inventories. Assisting with preparation of liquor and supply orders and ensuring equipment is properly maintained. Ensuring compliance with all food and beverage regulations; monitoring SOPs to ensure consistent exceptional service; recommending updates to policies and procedures. Participating in weekly meetings with Food & Beverage Management Team to ensure weekly goals, challenges, and service standards are met. Qualifications Requirements: Two years of food and beverage experience, including management/supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant required. Hotel experience desired. Ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations and provides a high level of guest satisfaction. Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift/move/pull moderate amounts of weight. Ability to monitor labor as required by anticipating business activity while ensuring that positions are staffed when needed and labor cost objectives are met. Excellent customer service and communication skills to work with guests and provide high guest satisfaction. Ability to work AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs. Ideal Candidate Experience within a hotel/resort environment. Experience as Food and Beverage Manager in a high volume setting.
