Registered Nurse - Observation

Job Summary:


Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Observation Unit, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver efficient and compassionate patient services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon admission and throughout their stay in the Observation Unit.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor and record vital signs, patient responses, and progress regularly.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members about care plans and progress.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using Meditech electronic health records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency in Meditech or similar documentation systems.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond swiftly to patient needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• BLS certification is required.
