Senior Accountant

Responsible for general accounting functions including month end close process (journal entries and account reconciliations) and account analysis. This individual will assist the US Controller in effectively performing these functions and streamlining processes and procedures as defined below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Support the monthly accounting close process. Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely. Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, including follow-up and closure of discrepancies. Some cost accounting tasks may be assigned as needed, requiring some familiarity with standard material costs and labor/overhead rates. Provide hands‑on assistance with financial and operational audits and assist CFO with managing the year‑end audit. Correspond with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses. Coordination with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure activity is properly recorded in the general ledger Provide ad hoc analysis as needed. Perform various accounting, financial or administrative tasks, often on short notice, at the request of the management. Education and/or Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance Minimum of three years of practical accounting experience in the manufacturing industry High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTable, etc.) Preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Experience working with IQMS Certificates, Licences, Registrations or Other Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to operate general office equipment, intermediate PC skills, experience working with ERP systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.
