Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in personal injury protection (PIP) litigation, representing plaintiffs and managing a high-volume caseload. This full‑time, exempt position requires a strong background in negotiating settlements and litigating cases through trial. Duties Represent clients in PIP‑related litigation from inception to resolution. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Attend and conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Evaluate case value and develop tailored litigation strategies. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and insurance companies. Maintain accurate case files and documentation. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff for efficient case management. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Michigan, in good standing. 2+ years of experience handling PIP plaintiff cases. Strong knowledge of state‑specific PIP laws and procedures. Excellent litigation, negotiation, and trial skills. Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload independently. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Active license to practice law in Michigan. Skills Experience with legal case management software.
