District Account Manager

Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities in existing customer accounts and major competitive accounts Lead, coach, and train other District Representatives Champion corporate initiatives and plan and lead portions of District Meetings Understand customer business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives Provide technical support and resolve customer challenges, escalating as required Perform system analysis, interpret data, and provide written recommendations Sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology Plan and execute customer and prospect seminars Advise business unit leadership on products and strategies to expand market share Partner with Corporate Account Managers to close strategic, multi-location corporate accounts Stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts Requirements Bachelor's degree 8 years of technical sales or field sales support experience Current and valid driver's license Must reside within a commutable distance from Joliet/Morris, Illinois Ability to travel overnight 25% of the time Immigration sponsorship is not available Ability to drive a company vehicle; pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle record checks required Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or life sciences Preferred: Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience Preferred: Extensive knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in technical sales and field sales support, with a strong focus on customer relationship management and strategic account development.
