Jr. Accounting/AR Assistant

For someone who is motivated, organized, and eager to learn, there is significant potential for future cross-training in billing, payroll, and accounts payable. Responsibilities Contact clients regarding outstanding invoices and assist with collection efforts through phone and email communication. Track receivable balances and maintain accurate records of collection activities and payment commitments. Prepare reports related to collections, aging accounts, retainer balances, and payment status. Process deposits, apply payments, and assist with resolving account discrepancies. Support attorneys and accounting staff by providing updates on collection activity and account status. Assist with billing support, financial reporting, and other accounting projects as needed. Qualifications Experience in accounts receivable, collections, customer service, accounting, finance, or a related field. Bachelor's degree and with relevant internships, coursework, or professional experience are encouraged to apply. Comfortable working with numbers, reports, and financial information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and learn new systems and processes.
