Accounting Clerk (Temporary/Onsite)

Position Summary: Client is seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk to support the Accounts Payable function. This role will focus on vendor account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, maintaining vendor master data, and supporting accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with vendors to research and resolve account discrepancies and verify balances.
• Maintain and update vendor master records, including payment terms, addresses, and contact information.
• Reconcile vendor statements against internal records and promptly investigate and correct variances.
• Assist with documentation of accounts payable procedures and processes.
• Support the review, coding, entry, approval, and audit of employee expense reports and purchasing card transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests as needed.
• Maintain payment tracking spreadsheets and approval records.
• Perform manual data entry.
• Provide administrative support, including filing and document organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as JDE, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Intermediate Excel skills required, including experience with PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of three-way matching processes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Work Arrangement: This is an onsite temporary assignment expected to last at least three months.
