Project Engineer

Project Engineer – Industrial & Manufacturing Construction Project Engineer opportunity supporting large-scale industrial and manufacturing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams to help drive successful project execution across all phases of construction. Projects include ground up warehouses, distribution centers, tilt wall facilities, PEMB structures, cold storage, food & beverage processing, and food distribution projects with a well-established general contractor offering a strong backlog and long-term growth potential. Responsibilities Support projects from preconstruction through closeout Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design teams throughout construction Help track project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and daily project activities Maintain accurate project records including meeting notes, drawings, logs, and closeout documentation Participate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and internal project coordination efforts Support project safety, quality control, and schedule adherence Assist with permitting, buyout, and contract administration processes Help resolve field and operational issues to maintain project progress and efficiency Support successful project delivery across multiple phases of construction Qualifications 1–4+ years of experience with a general contractor Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, cold storage, tilt wall, or PEMB construction projects preferred - commercial construction is good too Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar software Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred Benefits Bonus opportunity 401(k) Full benefits package PTO and continued career growth opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Scott Humphrey Corporation
