Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in New York City. This role is primarily focused on Accounts Receivable and Credit Management while also supporting Accounts Payable and month-end close activities for the Latin America business. The ideal candidate has strong collections experience, excellent customer service skills, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is comfortable managing customer accounts, resolving payment issues, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve cash flow and financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Code and Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing and submission for payment
• Process payments in a timely manner
• Raise any questions to Accounts Payable team or Director if something doesn't look correct
• Assist AP team with other invoice processing as needed
• Manage a variety of tasks/initiatives across multiple countries and brand groups simultaneously
• Provide timely customer service to the Latam Sales Team
• Other tasks as directed – included but not limited to assistance with Accounts Receivable and bank/GL reconciliations and rollforwards

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting or other business-related function).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment is necessary.
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with most emphasis on Excel), and SAP
• 3+ years in Accounts Payable
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sound Problem-solving skills are essential. The ability to work through complex data in a timely manner; providing analysis to determine alternative courses of action, is important.
• The ability to interact with colleagues in other organizational functions as well as customers in an effective and efficient manner is critical.
• The ability to know when issues should be raised and to what level they should be raised to.

This is a W2 position. This is not a contract.
