The primary responsibility is to serve as the first point of contact for a facility while also protecting people and property by enforcing security policies. Qualifications and Skills Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Experience: Previous experience in security, customer service, or a front desk role is often preferred. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with visitors and preparing reports. Professionalism: Must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor, especially in high-pressure or emergency situations. Observational skills: A keen sense of awareness to notice and report unusual or suspicious activity. Interpersonal skills: The ability to remain calm and de-escalate confrontational situations with difficult individuals. Technical proficiency: Familiarity with basic office software and the ability to operate security and visitor management systems. Physical requirements: Some positions may require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Reception and Administrative Functions Front desk management: Welcoming visitors and employees with a professional and friendly demeanor.
