SQL DBA

Job Title

Dynamic Work schedule - This is 5 days on site a month- in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. If your candidate is not open to this please tell them they will not be considered. Fidelity determines the week they are working onsite, not the candidate.

Location - Merrimack, NH, open to NC and TX

Must Have:

• Database operation – “non oracle” – Production support. SQL DBA
• Some AWS experience
• 6+ years

Associate will work within CAPE– Enterprise Database Operations Team! The team is a global organization with presence in Westlake, TX, Durham, NC, Merrimack, NH, Bangalore India, and Chennai, India. This Team is responsible for providing System DBA and Cloud support for Databases like SQL Server, general AWS experience, Aerospike, Neo4j across Fidelity!

Responsibilities

• We Build, configure, and support Database Cloud Infrastructure in AWS using industry standard deployment tools.
• Should have a solid grasp on AWS cloud services like EC2, S3, CFT, EBS, IAM, AWS CLI.
• Experience in configuring and supporting of the monitoring and alerting tools like DataDog, AWS CloudWatch for proactive detection.
• We work with customers in gathering technical requirements for data migration needs.
• Solid experience in production support, capacity management and maintenance of high availability & disaster recovery database systems for the large-scale databases.
• Should have working knowledge on scripting (e.g., shell scripts, python, etc.).
• Should have in depth knowledge about Incident management, Organizational change and Problem management processes
• Should be open to working in shifts, on call and weekend organizational change tasks
• Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas, Investigate and resolve user raised Incidents, Problem management and service requests.
• Good communication and organizational skills, including a wide range of architectures and technologies
• Should have working knowledge of Agile practices

The Expertise we’re looking for

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or Equivalent.
• 10+ years of IT database experience with dynamic growth to technical lead.
• AWS or Azure certification is preferred.
