Configuration & Data Specialist: Protect the Integrity of Command and Control!

Are you a precise, detail-oriented professional ready to safeguard the integrity of the systems that command our airspace? We are seeking a Configuration and Data Management Specialist to support the legendary Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) sustainment flight.

TBMCS is the sole, high-consequence system used to build the Air Battle Plan (ABP) and disseminate the Air Tasking Order (ATO) across Air and Space Operations Centers (AOCs), Navy aircraft carriers, Marine Corps Air Wings, and NORAD sectors. In this role, you will be the guardian of this critical infrastructure, ensuring that every software update, hardware modification, and system engineering product is perfectly tracked, validated, and controlled.

What You'll Accomplish:

- Enforce System Integrity & Baselines. Establish and maintain the definitive baselines for critical weapon system software, hardware, firmware, and systems engineering products. You will ensure the total integrity of our command and control (C2) data throughout its entire product lifecycle.

- Master Change Control & Traceability. Provide absolute traceability for system modifications. You will lead the change control process for all acquisition, development, maintenance, and sustainment activities, guaranteeing that vital operational flight systems remain secure and compliant.

- Enable Global Joint Operations. Directly support a joint and coalition framework that spans the Air Force, Navy, Marines, and NORAD. Your meticulous data management ensures that commanders worldwide can reliably plan and execute air campaigns during peace, war, and humanitarian crises.

- Power Decision Support Tools. Ensure the seamless delivery of automated decision support tools. By maintaining flawless configuration control, you enable our engineers to rapidly deploy safe, high-quality, and war-winning capabilities to the tactical edge.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- Work requires the possession of an appropriate security clearance or the ability to be granted the appropriate security clearance

- Work may occasionally need to be performed on the swing or graveyard shift

- May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

- Work may occasionally require overtime or compensatory time

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of configuration, data, engineering data management, and deficiency reporting requirements as

specified in military specifications and standards, and organizational directives.

2. Knowledge of engineering drawings and contractor engineering control/release processes, and tracking

systems such as PLM systems.

3. Understanding of contractor estimating/pricing techniques as related to proposal evaluation.

4. Knowledge of, and skill in, the use of principles of communication, negotiation as required to reconcile diverse opinions that can arise from conflicts in contracting, engineering data/data management, and audits.

5. Knowledge of the Organizational structure and contractor operations and familiarity with the various

management and technical disciplines involved to sufficiently understand technical and procurement terminology and procedures.

6. Ability to plan, organize and chair conferences and meetings.

7. Skill in developing corrective actions for observed discrepancies.

8. Familiarity with policies and issues pertaining to priority rights in data.
