Our client, a leading transportation and logistics organization, is seeking a Transportation Clerk to join their team. As a Transportation Clerk, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the logistics and customer service teams.
Job Title: Transportation Clerk
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Pay Range: $23.50
Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm - 3:00 am
What's the Job?
Perform various office and administrative duties including handling accounts payable/receivable and collections
Assist with payroll, fuel reconciliation, office supplies, billing, and maintaining database records
Audit logs, trip reports, and other DOT reporting requirements to ensure compliance
Maintain and distribute route books, coordinate daily with drivers, and support driver coverage during vacations and overflow freight
Manage pallet tracking, driver logs, and driver file DOT requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
What's Needed?
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and email communication
Ability to navigate transportation management systems effectively
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Customer service orientation with the ability to interact professionally with dealers and drivers
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting
