Position Overview Position title: Specialist, Project Scientist, or Research Scientist. Salary range: $79,400 - $240,000 (UC academic salary scales). Appointment level will be based on background and experience. Application Window: Open date June 12, 2026; review date July 12, 2026; final date June 12, 2027. Description The Department of Psychiatry at UC San Diego is conducting an open search for specialists, project scientists, and research scientists at the Assistant, Associate, or Full level in various disciplines of neuropsychiatric disorders. Specialists and Project Scientists make significant contributions to research projects; Research Scientists develop and lead independent research and creative programs, equivalent to the requirements for the Ladder Rank Professor series. Responsibilities Perform studies and experiments. Analyze and prepare reports and presentations. Summarize data. Teach and mentor postdocs and students. Make scholarly contributions.
