Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, particularly within a school setting
• Understanding of child development and positive behavior interventions
• Capacity to provide support to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility, patience, and a nurturing approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teaching staff in the classroom, supporting lesson delivery and classroom management
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students requiring additional help
• Implement individualized plans under the direction of special education or classroom teachers
• Encourage student independence while assisting with tasks and assignments
• Support classroom activities, field trips, and transitions throughout the school day
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Foster positive relationships among students, staff, and families
