Accounting Manager

Company: Cask Construction About Us We are a growing construction company based in St. Petersburg, FL. We are expanding into a multi‑entity structure. We're seeking a local Accounting Manager to bring structure, consistency, and leadership to our finance operations while working closely with our VP of Finance and a remote accounting support team. Position Overview The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, supervising two virtual assistants, and ensuring accuracy in payables, receivables, and payroll. This is a hands‑on, in‑office role with the opportunity to grow into a Controller‑level position as we scale. Responsibilities Work on‑site at our St. Petersburg office to manage financial operations for all active entities Supervise and coordinate with two virtual assistants handling: Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) Insurance compliance Job costing and project entries via Buildertrend QuickBooks Online data posting Review and verify financial entries for accuracy before posting Cut checks, manage vendor payments, and process payroll (ADP) Monitor cash flow and assist VP of Finance with forecasting and reporting Maintain internal financial controls and monitor for inconsistencies Track W‑9s, COIs, and subcontractor compliance across projects Support onboarding and setup of new companies or financial systems Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred) Strong understanding of AP/AR, reconciliations, and payroll Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Power BI Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar project management software is a plus Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving, and communication skills Ability to supervise remote staff and maintain accountability Must be located in or near St. Petersburg, FL, and available to work on‑site Paid holidays and PTO Entrepreneurial, growth‑oriented environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Grove Gallery & Interiors
