Sr Lab Support Specialist - 1st Shift

Senior lab support specialist role at Thermo Fisher Scientific supporting Unity Lab Services operations. Manages glasswash, garment and gas operations, labware inventory, and serves as primary contact for lab personnel across customer sites in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Perform labware cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and autoclave sterilization
- Manage gas cylinder orders, gas meters, and safe HAZMAT material handling
- Collect used labware from labs and restock designated points of use
- Handle gas, garment, and dry ice management with consistent supply and safe storage
- Maintain accurate inventory records and partner with clients on material needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years material handling, customer-facing, or lab environment experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with safety-first mindset
- Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities
- GxP environment or laboratory setting experience preferred
Compensation: $18.54 to $24.30 hourly
