Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician

Florek Family Mobile Vet is an established mobile small animal practice covering Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We have very high standards and expectations of our team members because we strive to provide top level care to dogs, cats, and small mammals and their people in the comfort of their own homes. We also have a facility where we do surgeries and dentals one day a week. Our current team consists of a very experienced DVM, an experienced full-time technician, a full-time front desk/CCS, and a part-time RVT. We are currently hiring a part-time team member to work Mondays with the doctor on appointments for 8am-4pm, and Tuesdays with either the technician or doctor on appointments from 8am-6pm. The right candidate must have excellent restraint skills, and be comfortable helping with all basic veterinary services (exams, injections, blood draws, nail trims, etc) with the client present. Carrying up to 30# on stairs, getting on/off the floor, and restraining without assistance are required. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to write prescriptions and RX labels and safely dispense medications at appointments. They also must have a valid DL and clean driving record, and be comfortable driving a mid-sized SUV. Additionally, they must have comfort with basic computer skills - we use Google maps to navigate, cell phones to text and call clients, laptops and tablets to run Covetrus Pulse software, and Stripe POS. There is also the expectation of assisting the rest of the team at start of day and end of day with house-keeping, stocking, and cleaning duties. Pay is hourly, ranging from $18-24/hour depending on experience and performance.
