This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at a well-known, established County hospitals/Clinics in Los Angeles, Sylmar , TorranceEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facilityTeach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of theory classes and clinical laboratory experiencesPlan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learningClarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferenceClarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staffMake patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needsDirect students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing processCoordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate studentsDirect post conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelingsEvaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as neededProvide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skillRequirements:Registered Nurse - current active RN license in the state of CaliforniaPrevious teaching experience requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skillsFunctional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilitiesCompetence in clinical skills in areas of teachingCompetent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and emailCriminal background check will be done by the HospitalSpecialties required in these fieldsMed-SurgPart-time Week day if needed 16 hrs to 32 hours - Monday & Tuesday or Wednesday & Thursday 16hrs to 32hrsEducation:A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited programA minimum of five years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, with five years’ experience in the Med-Surg specialty field, and 1 year of experience as a Clinical Instructor but not requiredJob Type: Part-time #J-18808-Ljbffr Success Education Colleges
