What You'll Do

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, quality patient care pre- and post-surgery
• Assist with patient assessments, education, and emotional support during perioperative procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transfers and communication
• Delegate tasks effectively to surgical technologists and licensed staff, supervising as a charge nurse when applicable
• Maintain strict infection control practices and adhere to safety protocols
• Document clinical findings accurately and thoroughly in patient records
• Contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment focused on high-quality outcomes

What You Need Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• 2+ years OR nursing experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with multiple surgical specialties (general, ortho, neuro, plastics, urology, GYN, etc.)

Preferred:

• Leadership or charge nurse experience in OR setting
• Experience working with diverse surgical teams and protocols
• Strong organizational, communication, and delegation skills
