Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide care across various Patient Care Units (PCU) within a healthcare facility. This position requires a flexible approach as the nurse will float between multiple units including PCU, Observation, Overflow, Medical, and Surgical floors, responding to the needs of the hospital on each shift.Key ResponsibilitiesFloat between PCU, Observation, Overflow, Medical, and Surgical units as needed.Care for diverse patient populations with common diagnoses such as strokes, chest pain, arrhythmias, altered mental status, and post-surgical conditions.Manage basic cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin as required.Read and interpret cardiac strips, ensuring timely communication of changes to the medical team.Titrate drips as per protocols and patient requirements.Provide comprehensive neuro assessments and care for patients with complex needs.QualificationsMust possess valid AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.NIHSS certification is required.1-2 years of nursing experience with a strong focus on neuro assessments and basic cardiac drips.Experience with EPIC electronic health records is essential.Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitoring strips independently.Work EnvironmentPatient-to-nurse ratios: PCU/Overflow/Observation - 1:4; Medical/Surgical - 1:5 (may occasionally stretch to 1:6).Be prepared to care for patients in varying acuity levels, including potential ICU holds and ER boarders.Opportunity for overtime exists based on hospital needs.SchedulingThe position requires a commitment to work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.Mandatory holiday shifts will be assigned based on operational requirements.Participants will undergo a 3-shift orientation covering different units alongside general facility orientation.Scrubs and EquipmentStandard scrubs are navy blue.Familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment such as CPAP and high-flow systems is necessary.If you are a capable and adaptable RN ready to provide quality care across multiple patient care areas, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
