Associate Attorney

Associate AttorneyAn Associate Attorney's main tasks at Flanagan | Bilton are to manage and resolve property valuation appeal cases on behalf of clients by developing analyses, negotiating contracts and agreements, settling claims, and advocating for clients in hearings. Associate Attorneys will work under the supervision of more experienced colleagues. This is an in-office position with office hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Associate Attorney Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide legal supportReview property valuations to identify property tax savings opportunities using the various Income, Sales, and Cost approach analysesManage the appeal processes for assigned clientsPerform various analyses for clients, such as tax projections and annual budgets, communicate appeal status, and review/discuss client needsPresent and negotiate appeals with various assessing jurisdictionsCommunicate and present the firm's services to potential clientsReview and approve invoicesRequirementsJuris Doctor DegreeAdmission to the State BarExcellent presentation and communication skillsStrong analytical backgroundMinimum Cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scaleCompensationStarting Salary: 75,000120 hours of PTO after a 90-day probation period (unused hours are forfeited annually)17 paid holidaysEmployee-only medical, dental, vision, and basic life premium insurance paid by the employer3% of salary employer 401k contribution after two years of employmentBusiness casual dress code with exceptions based on assigned tasks and positionsTeam atmosphereAnnual reviewsThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
