Assistant Project Manager – Heavy Civil / Road Construction A well‑established heavy civil contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in heavy civil, roadway, or infrastructure construction to support a growing project team. The company specializes in large‑scale public sitework, roadway, and civil construction projects. Responsibilities Support Project Managers with project execution, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation. Assist with subcontractor/vendor pricing, procurement, and project buyout. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project records. Review invoices, track costs, and assist with pay applications. Coordinate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in heavy civil, roadway, utility, or infrastructure construction required. Experience supporting public works or DOT‑related projects preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Bluebeam, B2W, HCSS, or similar software preferred. Construction Management degree preferred.
