Job Details Specialty: ICU / Critical Care Float Pool Employment Type: Travel Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts Schedule: 3 shifts per week Weekly Hours: 36 Assignment Length: 17 weeks Start Date: 10/05/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Setting: Critical care float pool with assignments across multiple ICU areas Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience Active RN license in hand at time of submission Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Epic charting experience required Travel nursing experience strongly preferred Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management required Must be comfortable floating to units of equivalent or lower acuity Ability to work rotating critical care assignments within the organization as needed Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care to adult patients in high-acuity critical care settings Float between ICU areas such as Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, MICU, CVICU, and other critical care units Monitor complex patients, manage ventilators, and assist with titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips Perform advanced interventions including telemetry monitoring, arterial line care, and central line management Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other interdisciplinary healthcare teams Document accurately in Epic and maintain a strong focus on patient safety, quality care, and best practices Adapt quickly to changing unit needs while delivering calm, confident critical care nursing support Location Highlights Columbus, Ohio offers the best of both worlds: a welcoming Midwest atmosphere and the energy of a major metropolitan hub.
